Fuenlabrada, 10/12/24 – In an exciting development for our academic community, Dr Arturo Casado Alda, has been appointed Associate Professor at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, an achievement that reflects his dedication and significant contributions to the field of Sports Performance and Exercise Physiology.
The defence of the position took place on 14 November 2024, after a rigorous evaluation process that considered the candidate’s academic career, publications and participation in research projects. Arturo Casado has been part of the Faculty of Education, Sport and Interdisciplinary Studies since 2020, where he has taught the subject Initiation to Athletics and has guided numerous students in their research projects. He is also Coordinator of the Performance and Physiology Research Group (GIREF) of the Centre for Research in Sport Sciences (CIDE) of the URJC.
Obtaining this position not only represents an advancement in Arturo Casado’s career, but also strengthens the prestige of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos as a centre of educational excellence. The university and the Research Centre in Sport Science (RCSC) prides themselves on having high calibre academics who inspire new generations and contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
